Recipe: Pinwheel Sandwich
Ingredients
- 1 Carrot
- 1 Beetroot
- 50g Green Peas (boiled)
- Few Lettuce Leaves
- 75g MeadowLea
- ¼ teaspoon of Pepper
- ¼ teaspoon of Mustard
- ¼ teaspoon of Vinegar
- ¼ teaspoon of Lime Juice
- Salt to taste
- Loaf of Bread
Cooking Method
- First, cut the carrot and beetroot into circles and steam them separately.
- Next, grate the carrots and beetroot very finely and keep aside.
- Grind the green peas, and cut the lettuce leaves thinly and mix with the green peas.
- Add MeadowLea, mustard, pepper, salt and vinegar together and mix well. Add some lime to increase the taste.
- Add this MeadowLea mixture to the carrots, beetroot, and green peas and mix well.
- Take the bread and remove the brown parts on all 6 sides and cut the bread lengthwise into 3 parts.
- Then flatten the bread with a rolling pin. First, place the 3 slices of bread so that the carrot is on the first part, green peas on the second part and beetroot on the last part. Then slowly roll this with your fingertips.
- Finally, attach 2 toothpicks so that it won’t unfold. Then wrap these sandwiches with polythene and keep them in the refrigerator for 10 minutes. Cut into pieces of your choice and serve.
