Recipe: Date Cake
Ingredients
- Dates 300 g (peeled and pitted)
- Wheat Flour 175 g
- Semolina 50 g
- Sugar 100 g
- MeadowLea 100 g
- 02 Eggs
- 01 teaspoon of Baking Powder
- ¼ teaspoon of Baking Soda
- ½ teaspoon of Nutmeg
- 15 Cashew
- ½ teaspoon of Cinnamon Powder
- 01 teaspoon of Vanilla Essence
Cooking Method
- Put the peeled and pitted dates into a bowl, mix the baking powder and add some lukewarm water to cover the dates. Then mash it well and keep it covered for about 2 hours.
- Cut the cashews into pieces. Spread MeadowLea on a cake baking tray and spread oil paper on it.
- Add nutmeg, cinnamon powder, and baking powder to the wheat mixture and sift well with a sieve. Then add the semolina to it.
- In a separate bowl, add the sugar, MeadowLea, vanilla essence and eggs to it and mix well with the wheat flour mixture.
- Turn on the oven 10 minutes prior to baking.
- Add the cashews into a separate bowl, put the dates to it and mix well.
- Mix the previously prepared MeadowLea mixture with the date mixture. Place on the baking tray and bake at 160⁰C for 50 minutes.
